On Arrival:
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by our Wildgem safari guide, who will accompany you throughout your journey. After a short briefing, you will be driven to your accommodation in Moshi for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 1: Moshi – Tanga
After breakfast, depart Moshi and drive south towards Tanga, passing through beautiful landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check in at Tanga Beach Resort, where you can relax and enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

Day 2: Tanga – Umba Valley (Artisanal Sapphire Mines Tour)
After an early breakfast, set out for a full‑day exploration of the Umba Valley, renowned for its sapphires. Since there are no large‑scale mines in the region, you will visit several artisanal mining sites to witness firsthand how local miners extract these precious gems. Spend the day learning about the mining process, interacting with miners, and experiencing the rugged beauty of the valley. A packed lunch will be provided. In the evening, return to Tanga Beach Resort for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Umba Valley – Return to Moshi
Early in the morning, depart with a packed lunch to explore the remaining sapphire deposits in the Umba region. After completing your final visits, begin the drive back to Moshi in the early afternoon. Arrive in the late evening and check in once again at Pink Flamingo Hotel, marking the end of your sapphire adventure.
